Scripture: Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)
“Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”
The Devotional
Have you ever prayed about something important and wondered why God seemed silent?
You have brought your concerns before Him. You have searched His Word. You have tried to remain faithful, yet the answer has not come as quickly as you hoped.
Waiting can be difficult because we naturally want to know what comes next. When we cannot see the way forward, we may begin to question whether anything is happening at all.
But Scripture reminds us that waiting on the Lord is not wasted time.
David encourages us to be courageous and allow God to strengthen our hearts. Notice that he does not tell us to manufacture our own strength. He directs us towards the Lord, the One who sustains us.
We may not understand the timing of every situation, and we should not assume that every delay has a hidden explanation. But we can continue to trust God’s character while we wait for direction.
Perhaps today, your responsibility is not to solve everything. Perhaps it is to remain faithful in the place where God has you, continue doing what is right, and leave tomorrow in His hands.
Waiting does not mean abandoning responsibility. It means remaining faithful without demanding that God reveal the whole journey at once.
A Thought to Carry Today
I may not know when the answer will come, but I can continue to trust the One who holds my future.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach me to wait on You with a steady heart. When I become impatient or discouraged, remind me of Your faithfulness. Give me courage to do what is right today and grace to leave tomorrow in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
All by His Grace. All in His Love. All for His Glory.
